Sigh. BIG sigh. YES, our kids DO NEED TO LEARN TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for their actions. They really do. Having a problem of some sort is not a free pass for bad behaviors. The process of learning responsibility may be long and look very different than that of a 'typical' person though.

Bumping this up to the daytime queue At 6, J had some pretty horrible ptsd-related nightmares. Therapy helped. In the interim, I'm not proud of this, but antihistamines helped her get through some difficult sleepless periods. Good luck

You mentioned that he does better in some classes than others. My son is ADHD, but he also has CAPD. He was just re-evaluated for CAPD. The audiologist made a great suggestion that I never thought of. He should be seated in the 2nd or 3rd row because he needs the visual cues from his fellow...

We have one on Focalin XR, one on Metadate CD 20 mg and one on Procentra . The one on Focalin XR also takes a follow up dose of Dexmethylph 2.5mg at lunchtime. If "E" does not take that it wears off too soon. Good luck on getting the meds right, it really makes a difference.

How stressed was the mom while the baby was in-utero? I've seen it happen because of the mom's stress/anxiety/illness before the baby was even born. I have heard that as well.

I have found that effectiveness varies by brand also. Natures Bounty seems to be most effective for my son. He takes 5 mg. He was up to 9 mg on another brand, with no effect.

I would agree with PTSD and EMDR. My son was in an orphanage for 2 years, we have been family 8 years. He flinches if anyone makes a sudden movement anywhere near his face/head. He cowers, still. He made great progress with EMDR, but we lost that insurance coverage and cannot find an EMDR...
